What kind of weather should we expect in Mauritius around the wedding?
In mid-December, the northeast coast of Mauritius, experiences warm and humid summer weather. The region enjoys about 9 hours of sunshine per day and sea temperatures are warm, making it ideal for swimming and water activities. This period offers warm temperatures suitable for beach activities, but be prepared for occasional rain showers and high humidity.
What should I pack?
All the usual essentials for a tropical getaway! Think light, breathable clothing, swimwear, and plenty of sunscreen. Be sure to bring a pair of enclosed shoes or sneakers for any activities or exploring, as well as bathers for the beach and pools. Mosquito spray is a good idea for the evenings and don’t forget clothes for the wedding celebrations. For the guys, a collared or polo shirt will be needed for the bucks day activity. While the weather will mostly be warm and sunny, there might be the occasional tropical shower, so a small umbrella or lightweight poncho could be useful too. Mauritius is all about relaxed island vibes, so pack comfortably - with a touch of celebration style!
